Your nursing
team are members of the primary healthcare team and provide nursing
care in the home for those patients who are not able to attend one
of the surgeries. Nurses provide additional support to the medical
staff at certain clinics held at North Thoresby and Holton-le-Clay. |

role of the District Nurse involves: |

Assessing,
planning, implementing and evaluating patient care. |
|
Prescribing
certain pharmaceutical items. |
|
Monitoring
standards of care. |
|
Liaising
with other care agencies
(e.g. voluntary bodies, social services, palliative care, chiropody)
and local hospitals. |
|
Keeping
up to date with modern nursing practice and policies. |
|
Training
for new nursing staff. |
